Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation for International Scholarly Exchange A non-profit organization headquartered in Taipei.

Council on Foundations USA based non-profit association of grantmaking foundations and corporations. Provides information and has links to many good sites related to research funding - in the USA and elsewhere.

Foundation Center Long-time publisher of printed guides to philanthropy and foundations that support research. In its 48th Year (2004). The guides have worldwide coverage, and can be purchased as online resource, as CD, or in book form. The Foundation Center also offers courses for finding grants and writing grant proposals.

Research Grants Office The best guide I have seen, for public and private funding agencies in all continents and regions (The Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and Oceania). Based in Canada at St. Francis Xavier University, Nova Scotia. Also discusses research ethics and intellectual property.

International Funding Sources A comprehensive and alphabetically-arranged guide to international funding sources; provided by The University of Iowa, an institution emphasizing high-quality education and world-class research.

Japan Foundation Center A private foundation established by private grant-making foundations in Japan to publicize philanthropy and provide information on foundations that offer grants, prizes or scholarships available in Japan.
